Compare the same product at several established retailers. If every other shop sells it close to the sale price, the claimed saving may not be meaningful.
Match the exact product
Model numbers matter for appliances, televisions and laptops. Check size, capacity, included accessories and warranty before comparing prices.
Inspect the website
Look carefully at the domain name, contact information, returns policy and payment options. A copied logo does not prove that a site belongs to the retailer.
Ignore artificial pressure
Countdown timers and only-one-left messages can encourage rushed decisions. Genuine limited stock exists, but you should still have enough time to check the seller and product.
Read the promotion terms
Trade-in deals, cashback and gifts may require registration, proof of purchase or a claim within a set period. Save the terms and complete any claim promptly.
