What does the Beck power recliner sofa offer?
The retailer describes a hardwood-and-plywood frame, sprung seat support and foam cushioning, with additional padding around the back and arms. Those specifications give you useful starting points for comparing the Beck with other fabric recliners, although they cannot tell you exactly how the seat will feel to you.
The selected model’s main attraction is its pair of power recliners. For two people sharing a sofa, having two reclining positions is worth considering. USB charging is also included in the configuration name; check the retailer’s specification for port type and placement if those details matter to you.
This is a deal overview based on the listing, rather than a hands-on review. If possible, try the sofa in person to assess the seat depth, back support and controls.
Is the £549 saving a good reason to buy?
The reduction is substantial, but the better question is whether £1,599.99 buys the configuration you actually need. Compare the delivered total with similar sofas offering two powered reclining seats, rather than comparing it only with a static sofa.
The £2,149 figure is the retailer’s listed comparison price. It is not evidence that this is the lowest-ever price or the cheapest equivalent sofa available. Delivery charges, upholstery choices and optional extras can also change the final bill.
Five things to check before ordering
- Size and configuration. The listing uses both “3 seater” and “2.5 seater” wording. Ask Sterling Home to confirm the exact model and dimensions for your selected option.
- Reclining clearance. Measure the space available with the footrests extended, including room to walk past and clearance from your coffee table.
- Delivery access. Check doors, stairs, tight corners and any lift restrictions against the delivery requirements.
- Fabric colour. Request an Oyster swatch if available. The photographs here show the Beck range in other finishes.
- Total cost and terms. Confirm delivery, lead time, warranty coverage and cancellation or return conditions for the exact sofa you order.
Also plan where the power cable will run, keeping it clear of walkways and the reclining mechanism.
